Thanks @nikitagtm !

Peer Feedback:

It is now time for the peer feedback round for Mini-Project #01. Please review @nikitagtm's submission for this mini-project and provide peer feedback.

Using the rubric at https://michael-weylandt.com/STA9750/miniprojects/mini01.html#rubric, please grade their submission out of a total of 50 points.

For each of the five categories, please give them a separate score and provide a total (sum) score across the entire assignment. Feel free to assign extra credit if you feel it is warranted (following the rubric).

If you give a score of less than 5 for any category, please provide a suggestion for improvement. (You can also give suggestions for any element they did well - more feedback is always great!)

As you go through this peer feedback exercise, think about what you particularly like about this submission and how you can incorporate that approach in your future work. If something is particularly insightful or creative, give some kudos!

Evaluators: This should take you around 15 minutes per peer feedback. You are not required to engage in substantial back-and-forth with @nikitagtm, but you are of course welcome to initiate a discussion.

@nikitagtm: please engage fully with your peers. They are here to help you!

Submission URL should be: https://nikitagtm.github.io/STA9750-2024-FALL/mp01.html

Feel free to link to other repos, the course documentation, or other useful examples.

Thanks! @michaelweylandt

Hello Nikitagtm,

I wanted to correct my grading scale:

Written Communication: 9/10 Your text flows very well and communicates the overall tasks effectively. Maybe you can add some more context between large chunks of code to read more like a report. Otherwise great job!

Project Skeleton: 10/10 All the tasks were accounted for so no issues here!

Formatting & Display: 12/10 All of your code is formatted really well and the use of section organizers makes it easy for the reader to identify the tasks. Along with that, your tables were very easy to read. Will be stealing your formatting ideas in the future!

Code Quality: 10/10 Code is well formatted and near flawless.

Data preparation: 10/10

Grade: 51/50

Nice job!

  • Text flows very well and communicates effectively. Maybe you can add in some more context between some of the chunks of code to talk about why the data might be important.

Project Skeleton: 5/5

  • All parts of project included

Formatting & Display: 6/5

  • All code is formatted super well and the use of section organizers is great for finding the different tasks. All of the tables were also super clean and easy to read. I'll have to steal your formatting in the future!

Code Quality: 5/5

  • Code is well formatted and near flawless. No complaints on my end.

Hi @nikitagtm,

Great job on this project! You did an excellent job with adding necessary headings to help the project flow and be user friendly.

Written Communication: 10/10 Your text blocks are well placed, sized, and concise. My favorite addition in your project, which I haven't seen in any others, is the "Key points from this analysis" section.

Project Skeleton: 10/10 You completed all required project tasks.

Formatting & Display: 10/10 Your formatting is great. I like how you imported a package to create well formatted tables. Another addition is the bolding in your conclusion. This guides the reader and helps portray the most important points.

Code Quality: 10/10 All code executes perfectly and the tasks are all complete.

Data Preparation: 10/10 (Automatic)

Total: 50/50

Hi @nikitagtm

-Written Communication (10) The introduction presents the goals in a clear and concise manner, with sections that are well-organized with task explanations. Detailed comments on analysis are given, which help the reader comprehend.

-Project Skeleton (10) The project fully completes all necessary tasks, including loading and cleaning the data and finishing the analysis that the instructor specified. Additional analyses of the transit data are also included, demonstrating the student's understanding of the assignment

-Formatting & Display (10) Well-structured tables and clear data, as well as easy to follow

-Code Quality (10) The code is well-organized, featuring understandable variable names and contextual comments. Additionally, the code adheres to best practices for data processing.

-Data Preparation(10) Total (50)

Hi @plnrbrt, just a friendly reminder to rate my MINI#01 when you get a chance. Thank you! & @bleuuuz, I noticed you gave me 51 out of 50, which I really appreciate! But since the criteria is to rate out of 50, I would be grateful if you could adjust it and also share any suggestions for improvement so I can do better in the future.

Thank you!

HI @nikitagtm! Thank you for sharing your mini-project! Really great job (almost feel like I am reading the instructors mini-projects)! Here are my comments below: Written Communication: 9/10 I liked how you had descriptive phrases in the task 5 and wished you would have done the same in the other trunks of tasks so that we follow each step knowing what the code is for and have a little conclusion sentence for each question. Project Skeleton: 10/10 Code completes all the tasks that the instructor provided correctly. Formatting & Display: 10/10 A little tip that I saw on someone else's mini project is to display a scatterplot graph to show a decrease in time. Code Quality: 10/10 Code is very good and seamless. Data Preparation: 10/10 Total: 49/50
