Thank you for your issue @darkphen0m. I've gone ahead and linked it in the about section. I was actually looking for new maintainers for quite some time now, since I'm not in a position where I can contribute to it right now. If someone wants to help maintain this project, feel free to contact me via email. You should have some expertise and be able to invest a reasonable amount of time on a regular basis.
I have just created a fork and I think I will support it with the update to PHP >= 8.0
@darkphen0m here you can find a maintained version of this package.
https://github.com/misterspelik/laravel-pdf/releases/tag/2.0.0
Also I applied all reasonable changes from PR to the package as well.
@niklasravnsborg Thank you for your work 👏
Just use the mPDF
without a wrapper. The wrapper is beautiful but it's just syntactic sugar.
Also, it is better to use a PDF generator that relies on headless-chrome like Browsershot
instead of using libraries that try to translate the given HTML.
And to conclude, mPDF
has the dirtiest code I have ever seen written in modern PHP, and it is barely maintained.
I've decided to archive this repository :) Thanks @misterspelik for forking and continued maintenance - I will link your project in the updated Readme.
Is there a maintained fork, with current mpdf version, php 8.2 support and updated return types?
Because the maintainer here does not respond to the pull requests & issues from the community
