Windows does support A2DP according to this post, the driver is installed and available for use when connecting a capable device: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/bluetooth-a2dp-snk-device-not-showing-up-in-sound/1d4e72e1-8f70-4356-9fea-3df5510c32fe . There is no support for Sony's LDAC, and aptx according to this site: https://www.bluetoothgoodies.com/a2dp/ it seems to be a licence(money)problem. But one can buy it to license it yourself. Bizar …

Windows only has integrated support for SBC or AAC over A2DP. Some users have suggested an alternate A2DP implementation would be helpful. This is worth looking into.
