This is a valid point. Hiding edit buttons in the modal window should not be very hard, although this depends of the further development of the RTE/its image modal dialog. I started a feature request in the PW forum some time ago, to get a better API for the Image dialog of the RTE which my plugin reuses ( https://processwire.com/talk/topic/12437-js-interface-modal-image-dialog/ ). ATM I duplicated code here to get my own dialog. Let me see If I can apply your idea next weekend. Thank you for your requests for the moment.
Great module, exactly what I need!
How can I disable image editing? As this is a module for referencing, I want to do the scaling and subformatting in my template, the user shouldn’t be bothered with scale and hiDPI-Settings.
The only exception would be cropping, which is very useful at this stage, because it is a content-centric image editing.
