lethaldosemedia, can you debug iwfi.kext?
this kext as the latest linux sources and i think is the right way to make the
driver work
in future i think it can be mixed with mercurysquad code and work as a airport
device
if iwifi.kext turns stable a nsgui/networkselector interface can be made

hey jav, im gonna head on over to mac and try to debug and mess with the kext
file
and see whats what and yeah i was thinking of doing it like that but didnt know
how... so thanks for the heads up and the awesome layout for me to mess with. i

Achille,
your card can be one of the follow:
{IWL_PCI_DEVICE(0x4237, 0x1216, iwl5100_abg_cfg)},
or
{IWL_PCI_DEVICE(0x4237, PCI_ANY_ID, iwl5100_agn_cfg)},
meaning abg or agn card
just try latest iwifi.kext and report in insanelymac forum

I will readily donate $100 once 5100 support is here.
It's Intel Pro/Wireless 5100 [shiloh].
BTW, I have experience in objective c / iphone programming.
Also have formerly coded in C for the PSP, with pretty good skills.
Kindly let me know if I could lend my hand as a programmer/developer for this
project.

I tried it on a 10.5.6.
My card is found as en0, but not like a Wireless card but like a Ethernet card,
with
a disconnected cable... O_o

I have an acer extensa 5635 and i got everything working .... only the 5100agn
wifi
doesn't work .... so please can you make the kext as soon as possible as all

I cannot load that kext because it does not have code for x86_64 kernels.

I have a Dell Studio 1737 and got Sound, native resolution, keyboard&trackpad
but still no Wifi..
I have to use my iPod Touch with PDANet to send my iPod's WiFi connection
through the usb cabel into my
laptop.. It works alright, but still.
Maybe also a tip for all of you guys. If you have a ipod touch of iphone
ofcourse ;)
