This is all I get after installing. What is the trick to configuring this integration?

What configuration options are you looking for? Did the integration add entities and devices for all of your switches and bulbs? If not, what kind of devices do you have?

Same issue here. Cannot find the integration to add it after getting it from HACS and restarting HA. Does not show up any option to login or as an integration option.

Close your browser and reopen it. It's an issue with HACs. After reopening your browser and going to your HA, install the usual way through Devices and Services. It should show up in the list after closing and reopening the browser.

Did that, and updated it and restarted. Same thing:

this works for me, just struggling to get automations to run with it, but going to mess around with it later and check back in

I'm also having this issue

nikshriv commented 1 year ago

I'm not sure what the issue is. Can you explain what's wrong? I updated the instructions for installation in the readme.md file. Take a look there if you're having problems getting the integration to show up on the HA list. There's an issue with installing custom components that requires you to restart your browser before it will show up in the list.

I realized that I was looking in the wrong section of HomeAssistant, and have now successfully installed the integration. Unfortunately I'm now experiencing this issue as well https://github.com/nikshriv/cync_lights/issues/5

nikshriv commented 1 year ago

Look at your system logs and you should see an error from this integration. Copy and post under issue #5. Is possible you have a slightly old version. I made some changes over the last 24hrs to fix some issues. Perhaps try deleting and redownloading the integration

It's working now after a reinstall in the standard Integrations section. 👍👍👍
