Integration has been down about a week.
Seeing the same behavior as described by OP. Have re-configured the plugin several times and removed/readded devices.
Seeing similar issue with my cync bulbs. I can toggle them on but they will not turn off from HA and the status shows them as off.

I just started experiencing this as well. I can turn the bulbs on via HA, but not off. Everything works fine in CYNC app.
Seeing the same thing here.
I am getting a mix of that behavior (only when triggered from HA) but more frustrating for my use case, I have a Cync Toggle Switch that controls 1 hardwired light and its state should trigger multiple other lights to turn on/off in sync. But, HA isn’t reporting the state of the switch so my other lights won’t follow for now. The official Cync app is working, so I know it’s this integration that’s the issue. Hope it can be resolved soon, or I can flash new firmware to my switch.
Having this same issue as well. Cync app is fine, integration not so much, etc. Refreshing the integration hasn't helped.
This integration definitely seems "broken" right now.
I don't get status updates on state change in HA. I see the flickering mentioned above. Though I seem to be able to turn the light on with light.turn_on
and off with .turn_off
, toggling makes a mess and state failure makes automations...hard.
I was noticing erratic behaviour the past little while. Try enabling logging and see if you get the same error as reported in #96. Should be resolved from commits on May 20, 2024. Now my entities report status and have not noticed any erratic behaviour (yet).
I just added the cync integration to home assistant. I have cync paddle switches and dimmers. They all have the same problem. When I switch ON in HA it does light up but after a few seconds the switch goes OFF in HA. The light stays ON. If I switch it ON in HA and quickly switch it OFF in HA (before HA automatically changes to switch to OFF), then the physical switch goes ON/OFF/ON/OFF... for a few seconds. This does not occur every time but still very often.
