Is there a way to trigger a ROM+Core from a URL? #29

Is it possible to visit a unique URL on the server and have it interpreted as instructions to (immediately or possibly with confirmation) start a certain rom and core? This would open a tremendous ecosystem of usability and also remove a lot of the burden of user interface design from this project. I could just bookmark things on my phone, or create QR codes that will launch particular games.

This is not done yet but is in the roadmap for future additions.

The API for loading ROMs as is it today is just too inmature.

I really like your idea of a QR code to launch a specific game! Maybe the UI can generate them automatically for you 😊

FYI what I have in mind is to keep a box of cards with cover art and QR codes on them so I can stack my favorites in one place, and also have a deeper library that is easy for anyone to view, organize, or randomize. Even somebody who knows nothing about the system can flip through cards, then snap the QR on their phone, and start playing.
