The Belle II collaboration is aiming to fork b2luigi. Future development will be happening on the https://gitlab.desy.de/belle2/b2luigi (collaboration-internal) and with a mirror of the main branch under the belle2 namespace at github.com/belle2/b2luigi. Future documentation might be hosted at b2luigi.belle2.org. The current CI pipeline is being ported. A big advantage is that the test runners on the desy gitlab have CVMFS access and thus will allow for tests against basf2 and gbasf2.
(Note: At the time of writing the above linked repositories do not exist yet).
Once the mirrors are public, on this repository we should add a disclaimer forwarding people to the forks with continued maintenance and mentioning that this will not be maintained anymore. This same disclaimer should also be added to the Sphinx
documentation at readthedocs, latest by the time that the documentation hosted at b2luigi.belle2.org is online.
Eventually we might consider archiving this repository in the future, if @nils-braun as the official repository owner agrees.
The forking and mirroring will be managed by @GiacomoXT. @AlexanderHeidelbach and Jonas Eppelt will be the initial maintainers of the Belle II fork.
