Unable to add/delete categories

What's the problem?

I can't seem to add any more categories.  I've only got 11.
Also, how can I delete some of the categories that I no longer use?

I just upgraded to the newest version, 1.4.0.0 and having the same issues.

You should see a "New Category" button in the categories panel; click that to 
add a new category.

I've done that.  There's about 10 categories that are there.  Any more that I 
add do not stay in there.

And I REALLY need to know how to delete them!

For Blogger, I believe that if you add a category and don't use it right away, 
it disappears. That is, you can't add categories that you don't use.

I'm working on the delete part.

Blogger doesn't support deleting categories via the API.
