No audio when playing the game through an HDMI cable (UHD vanilla bug)

When playing Resident Evil 4 through an HDMI cable the video will play fine but not the audio. The game will not detect the HDMI connected device as an audio source and will default the audio playback to the PC speakers. A workaround that i discovered is to use headphones. The headphones are detected correctly and the audio plays okay.

This is not an issue exclusive to Resident Evil 4, there are other PC ports with the same issue like Fallout New Vegas, Dark Souls 1 and Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim.

disabling all audio output devices (except for the one you wanna use) in windows sound settings probably fixes this.

I use RE4UHD over wireless HDMI just fine.
