Did you turn on Data collection button ?, I manually turned them off otherwise they should have kept on collecting data which was otherwise irrelevant.

No. Not yet.

Isn't time in sync for the probes- battery (5min),Audio Features(30,5),light sensor(30,5),accelerometer sensor(30,5),continuous location(30 sec, for 5 sec), simple location(60 sec), nearby wifi devices(60 sec), bluetooth devices(every 30 sec for 5 sec), nearby cellular towers(60 sec) ? All others probes they are not required to be configured

By time sync i meant that last night i saw that the phone was showing 10 PM 1980. Since the data collected would correspond to this timestamp, it is imperative to have correct time on it.

Again saw that one of the phone was out of sync. Since getting new sim for all of them is not easy, putting them all on WiFi. Will observe if they choke up the b/w or not.

Nipun, did one of the phones already had a SIM?

Also check with Siddhartha. He purchased 6 sims for his work. They may not be getting used or he can get more from the same vendor if you want.

I also think that out of sync might be happening because of phone reboot for some reason.

All phones are put on perpetual charging, so they should not be reset. I think putting them on network should solve the issue. Only 1 phone has been giving problem. Will update the status tomorrow.

shailja-thakur commented 11 years ago

Only solution would be keep them connected to wifi

And how much data is already collected , isn't there by now any space shortage?

I would leave them connected to WiFi. How do we check if the phone is running out of space?

amarjeet-iiitd commented 11 years ago

Keep checking the size of file created by the application. You can also check system information by going to storage in settings.
