I am thinking that we need to label manually some data from each sensor, so as to have a clearer idea when we start analyzing the same. I would need help from all of you to create these scenarios and how to log them. For instance, for CT, i will turn one appliance at a time, for 5 minutes and note down the time of usage. For phone, i would note what is the sound level when fan is ON, noting the time, what is the light level when tube is on, when it is daytime, etc. For multi sensor, i would note light level when no light is ON, 1 light is ON, two lights are ON and so on, during the day what is light level, distance at which PIR is detecting motion. Water Meter: Water consumption of different fixtures. eg. If i run tap how much time does it take for 10litres and so on.

You may wish to do that in this wiki here https://github.com/nipunreddevil/Home_Deployment/wiki/Controlled-Experiments

Although i will look to these tests next week only, but i think we all need to think and ensure that to leverage maximum out of this deployment, we are able to properly label to maximum extent.

Do you want to see real time information of the sensors you talked ?

No! I will manually note down events and later see them.

Today @amarjeet-iiitd and @manojgulati suggested one controlled experiment for refrigerator power consumption. I put the ref. in different cooling modes and note down power consumption. I saw that the difference is interesting.

Would request you all to suggest stuff from your domain.

would be interesting to see the data of accelerometer and audio ,if the phone is kept on the refrigerator and see how often refrigerator is used .
