fix severe bug with codec being None #125

Sorry there was a slight bug with a style correction that was made here.

Coverage remained the same at 72.45% when pulling 86cc600b50f32749a5154094554c4bfb2297cf19 on aestrivex:allow_no_codec_ffmpeg_compat into 330cbe1aec70219a1f903bb6936263e888aeb174 on nipy:master.
