Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open PDF document
2. Pinch-zoom to 2x or more
3. Try to move document if not crashed already

What is the expected output?
No crash, scrolling works, everything works,

What do you see instead?
Lag for something about 1 or 2 seconds then document is reloaded

What version of the product are you using?
1.6.6

On what operating system?
Android 4.1.2 (TouchWiz)

What device are you using?
Samsung Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100)

Please provide any additional information below.
Does not depend on viewing mode as far as I can see. All works well with DJVU.
Did not test other formats. Tested with 2 PDF's which are not attached because
of my poor knowledge of piracy law.

Can you measure how much free memory do you have? What is pages in memory
setting?

Something like 0.75 GiB. Pretty much, no?
Also if I close all apps/reset device then I can not reproduce this bug. But
this is certainly not a comfortable solution.
Pages in memory is set to 5.

Try less value for pages in memory: 2 or 3. It will greatly decrease memory
consumption.

Even with 0 pages still possible to reproduce with almost no improvement. I
THINK it gives a little more time before crash this way but I am not certain.
Also app is not responsible to first touch after approximately 3 seconds idle.
It's like it turns off the sensor and I need to touch it to turn back on.
Nothing like this in other apps.

Turn off fullscreen mode. In full screen first touch is handled by system. Did
you tried beta versions of 2.0?

Aha, that worked very well. But still crashes.
