nishantjainuk / SimpleWaterfall-PowerBI

A Power BI Visual that allows users to create simple waterfall charts just by using measures. The standard waterfall chart isn't design to create multi step waterfall and requires the underlying data to be in a particular layout. You can create multi step waterfall. This is very useful in Finance report where you need to create causal reports.

Hi,

This SimpleWaterfall is really good, but I have the following issue: when I export the waterfall chart to PPT, the order of the pillars/bars changes, and the chart becomes useless.

Chart in Power BI: Chart in Power BI

Chart in PPT: Chart in PPT

I would be grateful for any help.

Thanks

Daniel

@kedan21 this is a known issue and a bug at Microsoft's end. I am waiting for Microsoft a fix from Microsoft. I will update you as soon as this is fixed.

Hi Nishant, Hope you are doing well. We are also using simple waterfall chart as it is best suited for our requirements but we are also facing similar issue while exporting the chart to ppt from power bi service, the order of the bars changed. We have raised a ticket to Microsoft support team, they replied that for custom visuals they give minimal support because the underlying code won't be with them and also advised to reach out to the developer of the visual. Can you please provide your inputs and help us regarding this. Have a good day !! Thanks Parul

Anxious to hear any updates. Ran into this issue today… LOVE LOVE LOVE this visual but the scrumming is very peculiar. Hoping for a remedy soon?

@parul010 @PhxDAXUser234 @Giorgosi @kedan21

The latest version has been approved by Microsoft and it should be deployed in next 10 days. I am equally easer to fix this bug. I have my fingers crossed that it works as there is no way for me to confirm if the fix that I applied actually works

Thanks Nishant
