Admin cannot delete files #350

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Before everything else, thank's for this project and the support provided.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Admin or anyone else upload a file
2.Manage files, check the file to delete and proceed
3.Page reloads and the file is already here with groups & users

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The file cannot be deleted.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r412

Please provide any additional information below.
I tested with and without group, with one or more users, create the file by
admin, account manager or user.

thank you in advance

I fixed it by myself.
The problem was the rights of database files.
I switched it to 775 and that's working!

Thank's =)

Same here - I'm logged in as admin (only system user at all), uploaded a PDF
and now, I cannot delete it. Nothing is printed to error log (neither HTTPd nor
PHP) and the FS permissions are OK for sure (the file was uploaded using the
webinterface of ProjectSend).

Please look at the attached video, showing this behavior.

I have the same problem. Files can't be deleted. I have to remove the file
manually using ftp and then edit the SQL manually to remove the entry from the
list.

Using latest rev (5.61) Win 7pro 64bit.

Does someone has solved this problem?

I solved it for me by realising that the files that could not be deleted had
not been assigned to a client.
Solution: Create dummy client using a spare email address. Allocate (via
"edit") all the troublesome files (and any new ones) to the dummy client. Set
"hidden upload" so I don't get loads of emails

End of problem. Your most excellent project is again working perfectly for us.

Fresh installation r582 on shared hosting with a cpanel.

I can delete files uploaded by me in the admin file manager.
I can not delete files anyone else uploads.

Which brings up the question, why can't up-loaders delete their own files?
