Error of failure to connect to :

http://appinventor.googlelabs.com/

when downloading APK file. Error suggests trying again. Multiple attempts all
failed.

- Steps to reproduce the problem. Program is the google demo. Works in
emulator. APK file will not download. Barcode does display.

- What you think the correct behavior should be. APK file should save to local
disk.

- The source of your app: use "download to computer" to get the source zip
file. This is in fact the problem.

- A screen shot

Don't forget to mention which device you have - Google emulator.

what browser you were using to access App Inventor. - Explorer 8

You don't give details, but I suspect you are using Internet Explorer. Try
switching to Firefox or Chrome.

This is same as 1542, and it's about time it was fixed.
Is google deliberately trying to discredit IE/MS by exploiting how explorer
parses the dl url in order to make it fail, or can tey fix it? I have no
issues downloading anything except the packaged application...
Tried on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, with IE7, 8 and 9.

Downloading the QR code and converting it to a URL
http://appinventor.googlelabs.com/ode/download/project-output/<project>/Android
where <project> is your projects number, then pasting that in a new tab
actually worked after 2 tried. IE8 was able to download the .apk file.
It can work, fix it!
