More Button States to allow for continous activity #2078

It would be nice to have an onPress, onRelease, and/or onHold so that we can
build apps that preform an action repeatedly until a button is released.

As far as I know, a simple program like holding a button down, then releasing
it, and having the time that the button was held down displayed is impossible.

I meant to submit it as a feature but I didn't do that correctly, and now I
don't know how to edit the original post.

We have already developed functions called touchUp and touchDown for Canvases
and Sprites. If you want a button with the touchUp and touchDown functions, you
can just make an image sprite and upload a button image. The touchUp and
touchDown functions will be released soon.

ooooo... Im salivating for the release of the touchUp and TouchDown feature. I
cant wait. I know "soon" is a relative term but can by any chance define its
magnitude? Days, weeks, months... years :-(
You guys are doing great work and I can imagine that there are "bigger fish to
fry". This feature will really open up the design ideas.
Thanks,
Ryan Foss

PS. "Fixed" not= "Released". What a tease. However, I love the open feedback.
