Ability to make a sound loop on both the press and release of a button or the canvas

Is it possible to add a feature to Sound to make a sound loop when a user is 
still holding is finger down? One user said: "What is needed is the ability to 
sense both the press and release of a button or the canvas as separate events. 
App Inventor seems to only acknowledge the release of a finger touch on the 
canvas or button Click. With the button LongClick event the press of the button 
down triggers the event block after a short delay, but it then quickly resets". 
Some great music apps would come out of this for sure. Currently all users in 
Google Groups who are trying to make a "flute" app, a "strings ensemble" app, 
etc... are having this exact same problem.
