TTS Engine incompatibility

I have submitted the following problem to Loquendo-Android TTS engineers, and I 
 am repeating it below for the AppInventor Team

I purchased Loquendo-Susan-TTS American English for Android HTC Incredible 
FROYO 2.2 from Android Market. This apk is Marketed as compatible with 
Android2.2, with no need for extended TTS for Android 2.2

Loquendo seems to be not compatible with App Inventor interface to Android2.2 
TTS service.
Applications fail with error :  "no activity found to handle intent 
(act=com=google.tts make bagel flg = 0x40000000)".

I subsequently tried Loquendo TTS Engine with Google Extended TTS Service   
"tts_3.1_market.apk"  installed on Android2.2

Error disappeared but speech rate was not adjustable.  Result was 
Fast-Speaking-Susan, even when Android TTS speech rate was set to slow or very 
slow.   Loquendo Engine seemed not to be reading Android Speech Rate setting, 
or Extended TTS Settings.  The result was a somewhat degraded Emotional Voice,  
not as easy to understand as Loquendo demo.  I have now un-installed 
extended-TTS.

Are there some updates available for this problem? Are there any Alternative 
solutions?  Any feedback would be greatly Appreciated.

I too am having this problem. If I use an emulator, it works fine. But if I use 
my phone, the app gets this runtime error and I have to end the application.

i am using android 2.3.4 on my samsung galaxy s but get no voice or error msg
is there a solution for this problem
