Ability to create (and share with others) custom blocks by coding java, thus
allowing devs (or teachers) to create blocks to access the API

Additionally, the ability to download the generated Java source code would be
an excellent extension to such things

We call this feature the Component Development Kit. It is definitely on our
radar.

Starred as per shivalwolf's suggestion on issue 512. If they are indeed the
same please consider merging them.

The ability to buy 3rd party tools for App Inventor would be FANTASTIC! Please
do it soon.

Options that would be nice:
1) Create & Save Custom block
2) Upload/Share Custom block
3) Search Uploaded/Shared Custom blocks
4) Import Custom block into My Definitions (or something similar)

external libraries! AI + Open Source Blocks. And as external blocks are proven
and generally accepted as safe and reliable, they are rolled into Core Product.
Opening AI up like this will speed up it's development! How about some kind of
integration into code.google.com?

I agree with comment number 8. Looking over all these issues, it seems that a
good portion of them are people wanting new features and custom blocks. the
sooner that you release the component development kit, the sooner your work
load will be directed into solving the crippling bugs that exist. Is there an
ETA as to when the CDK is going to be released?

Hello everyone!

Where are the DEV's on this one? I have seen no updates. Awesome feature that
would solve tons of issues and feature requests for sure!

Please advise!

Will

The lack of 3rd party lib support kills the use of AIA for any real world
production app. Please help! Thanks.
