easy compare of externals #598

Hi,

in my Project i use several IP's from other developers using external to an 
explicit revision.
every time some IP provider tell me he has a new release version of his IP i 
update my project properties to the new revision (i prefer pointing to an 
explicit revision and not to head revision so i will allways have a stable 
version of my design)

when i use show log to observe my project modification for example showing the 
diffrences of all my project files between revision 100 to revision 200 i can 
only easily see the modification of the explicit revision number and not the 
content of the changes in the external.

let say i use 100 IP externals in my project. its a lot of work in order to 
show my project modifications.

And just in case you think that's rude, your issue is a perfect example on why 
we have this guideline:

* you haven't read the docs, otherwise you would have found out that you can 
very easily adjust externals to the HEAD revision (not HEAD but the revision 
HEAD is at). See attached screenshot.
* you complained about what's bad, but you didn't offer anything on how to 
improve the situation. Basically, I have no idea what you even want.
* to make the log dialog show you the revisions from HEAD, hit Ctrl-F5
