Android version eats last character of task name

When I create a new task in the android version it turns up as "New Task" in some random place (why not at the top and selected?). I go into it and remove the old name and then enter a new name. When I click elsewhere to save the task, the last character of the name is lost, so I type all my names as "foo " here, to get them right...
