@JamesGoff could you let me know what browser version and operating system you are using?
Can we get this clarified. As I understand it, if the target is already displayed on the viewable page there is no 'jump' as such, because you can already see the text. It only jumps if it needs to scroll the page to display the target.
@robbinsje is this working for you? Also, you are right that this is the default behaviour and this is also how it should still work.
Using firefox, windows 8.1
OK – is it a bit pointless having it then in this case since the page is so short?
Works for me on Firefox v52 on Windows 7.
@JamesGoff curious to know if the attribute links on the filter panel (?) are working for you? They should take you to the selected on the attribute page.
Well the bin button works fine, that cancels the . But when I am in a detailed area and I click on the rectangle filter logo – the cancel bit comes up to the right of it (as in attached print screen image) – when I hover the mouse over that it says “cancel drawing” but when you click it – nothing happens other than the “cancel” bit disappearing. Seems a bit redundant….

@JamesGoff thanks for clarifying but it is related to the other issue #170 where I will copy this too
I know – I am just trying to clarify it because there seemed to be some confusion.
@JamesGoff please see my answer over on #170. This issue is about the footnote links not the cancel button.
Still I am curious to know if the attribute links on the filter panel (?) are working for you? They should take you to the selected attribute on the attribute page. They are implemented just like the footnote in-page links
Right - re #169 - it just seemed odd to have the jump button when I didn't need to since I could see it - so I tried it and there was nothing, so it just seems redundant.
Re #170 It was a minor detail and I doubt I will ever use the "cancel" bit because I will just be wanting to bin the detailed area and move on. Didn't get the subtlety of the "cancel" button, so thanks for cllarifying
