ER....Looking at this and it's pretty much double dutch to me... not a user of social media. Bit of a dinosaur really... what is needed here?

MarionGadsby commented 7 years ago

Timo, Apologies for being offline- I’ve been ill. Don’t think I’m up to this- don’t really have any idea what it’s about… Is there someone else who does? M

We have it sorted Marion.

Happy to chat by phone soon to confirm the final steps ahead.

We are nearly there!

tmfrnz commented 7 years ago

@MarionGadsby to clarify: this is all about either page meta data or other information used by search engines (eg displaying the result) and social media (facebook and twitter, the title and description that is being shared on people's feeds). so while some parts are rather technical, some bits are rather editorial (eg decriptions, tweet content) and as such may require non-technical input/oversight

Have changed the twitter names to niwa_nz

craigstanton commented 7 years ago

Lines 17, 19 & 29 will need to be update after we have the final URL request.

And any others with absolute URLs

craigstanton commented 7 years ago

Have updated the URL. Will wait to see how this operates when the URL is actually in use, right now the share buttons are still sharing the page it is hosted on not he one in the meta tags

and they always should rather rely on the actual URL than on the meta tags that are otherwise not a requirement for the website to function. once the URL is properly pointed to the repo and resolved the share URL will match up with the meta tags
