Are there any plans for mainlining into the Linux kernel? This was mentioned upstream at mkottman/acpi_call#81, but this fork is the only one maintained, so I thought to ask here.

That would be great.

Arrived here from: https://blog.monosoul.dev/2021/10/16/ubuntu-21-10-and-acpi-call-dkms-bug/

It's important to get this fixed upstream: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi-call/+bug/1901452

package maintainers for ubuntu (or debian) can build this any time they like. contact the maintainer, if theyre listed.

(p.s.: this repo is upstream, imo)

btw, mainlining would be awesome, but i dont have any idea how to go about it, personally. if anyone else does, and wants to steward this module through to linus' workstation, by all means do.
