Firefox Extensions: add the possibility to configure extensions #4889

Open D3vil0p3r opened 5 months ago

D3vil0p3r commented 5 months ago

Description

Extensions can configured according to their functionality. For example, if a user create a profile in FoxyProxy extension to set a proxy over 127.0.0.1:8080, or he/she uses NightTab extension to customize his/her start page, it could be useful having the possibility to configure extensions in a declarative manner in order to define configurations and settings of installed extensions in a modular and easy manner.

Might be worth seeing this for reference.

I read it but still cannot find a way to configure a specific extension.

Yeah, it's rather difficult. I don't see this being added any time soon. That being said, I'd like to visit this myself in a few months time.

I think it could be worth to add as feature in HM on Firefox module.
