Buffer not clearing--old file getting converted as well -- Issue 48 #54

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Convert a Blogger xml file
2. Convert another one
3. The second will be appended to the first

Tried different browsers, renaming input file...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should clear the buffer each time the converter is called. Looks like it's
related to Issue 48, which was fixed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Current, WinXP, FF 3.5 and IE *

Please provide any additional information below.

I'm the person who reported #48, which was fixed. However the problem has
recurred. I
see two differences:
1. In #48, the file output included other parties' user names (as post
authors), this
time it is offering only my user names.
2. Though my posts are included in the output XML file, for some reason
Wordpress
doesn't see them and it only includes the other parties' posts.

See attachment. My blog is the one at http://www.malode.com/; the Whidbey Island
posts are unknown to me.

Given that Blogger FTP service is discontinuing effective May 1, I would ask
you to
raise the priority level on this one!

Thanks,
Donna

Waiting 3-4 hours seems to allow the buffer to clear. That's how I managed to
convert
my multiple blogs--Blogger FTP refugees may find this useful as a workaround
for now.

Yes, it appears as though this issue has come back. I'll look into the problem
today since the May 1st deadline is
almost upon us. It's a despicable bug, thanks everyone for reporting that it's
back.

Hello all.

I've made a fix for this bug. Please update this issue if you happen to see
the same behavior where posts are
leaked across conversions.

My apologies for the inconvenience.

jlueck, thanks so much for your prompt fix! I've run 8-10 blogs through it and
all is
working fine.
