question: are all synonyms based on the GBIF backbone synonyms? #6

For Siphonaptera the answer is no - I began with a list that already included them and some from GBIF were eventually added. For Acari I am unsure. The list I started with doesn't appear to include any information on "acceptedness" so some of those names may have been synonyms..

If we have a authoritative taxonomic list available i.e. Louse that is used as master list and synonyms from additional sources like GBIF, ITIS etc are attached to the names in master list.
