The download links on the provided page don't work, and there haven't been any PRs in a while, though maybe there hasn't been any need, I'm not too familiar with C codebases. Should I just attempt to build from source?

Sorry, no I haven't done any work on Redstore for quite a long time. It may be possible to build from source still - although some tweaks might need to be made to dependencies. Redland (which does most of the hard work) also hasn't had much time in the past few years.

Which platform were you trying to build for?

Really, any of them. Though, Docker (debian, alpine, or whatever's recommended) is probably a good starter. Whatever triplestore I find will probably be of use in a good few places.
