Search bar & button not hiding

What is the problem? Describe completely:

Minimalist version   -0.5.17
Relevant core module - gmail
Chrome version       - 16.0.912.63 beta-m
Operating System     - Windows 7 X64
Language             - English
Google Apps user?    - Yes
Other extensions     - Youtube Options

Please provide any additional information below and attach screenshots if
relevant.

When I check hide search and hide search bar in header and click save changes 
it still appears

I can't replicate your issue. Do you have the new Google Bar?
