Add option for full-width dock

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start an application that is not in your dock.
2. Watch the icons move as the dock grows.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I'd like to see an option to make the dock use the entire width of the
monitor. The problem right now is that icons don't have a single place.
Icons constantly move around as the dock shrinks and grows.

The only reason I use a dock, apart from the slick look, is because of the
fact that a launcher is also a taskmanager-item. This makes it a lot easier
to locate a certain window. However, the constant moving around of icons
kind of negates that.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SVN, Ubuntu Feisty.
