HttpRequestException "Response status code does not indicate success: 500 (Internal Server Error)." at 2024-04-05 7:37:13 AM -03:00 #91

What happened?

The app, from the Windows Store. need to do a "one time update" and then failed to launch. I uninstalled and then reinstalled from the Windows Store and got the same error on launch.

@KilrSkwerl - does this keep happening every time you start SrvSurvey? (Beyond 3 times after re-installing)

It has stopped happening, can’t say how many times I have stopped and started the software. BUT now it says “wrong commander or the game is not active” even with Elite Dangerous running.

For that, check the cmdr selected in settings, top of the 1st tab. Choosing "(no preference)" is best.

As for the initial HttpRequestException errors ... I do not control the server that is causing the problem, but I can make it not block using SrvSurvey where possible.

I'm curious if this problem only occurred whilst you were in a specific system?

I was landed at Saunders Dive, in Wolf 1301, when it started.

While dinner was in the oven I was scrolling through the Guardian Science Corps #survey-general channel on Discord. A user named “grinning2001l suggested to another user experiencing similar issues to delete c:\users\\appdata\local\packages\35333nosmohtsoftware.142860789c73f_p4c193bsm1z5a\localcache\roaming\srvsurvey\srvsurvey … IT WORKED!

@KilrSkwerl - when you deleted that folder, do you remember if you had both SrvSurvey and SrvSurvey- folders?

Do you have a folder %appdata%\SrvSurvey\SrvSurvey\1.1.0.0\ too?

(Meaning C:\Users\abc\Roaming\SrvSurvey\SrvSurvey\1.1.0.0\ not C:\Users\abc\AppData\Local\Packages\35333NosmohtSoftware.142860789C73F_p4c193bsm1z5a\...)
