I've been trying to figure this out for a while and i can't find a solution, my router ONLY has 5ghz support and has zero way of changing it to 2.4ghz is there anything that can be done to fix this or do i need to find a new WIFI adapter?

For anyone who encounters this issue, i have fixed it myself, no clue if it's a permanent fix or just temporary, but here's what ya gotta do, hop into the terminal and type sudo iwconfig wlan0 freq 5.000G this fixed the problem and now all my 5Ghz networks are showing properly in addition to the normal 2.4Ghz networks no idea if this is an issue with the script itself, or just the product of being a linux noob, but i've figured it out
