This was discussed and agreed upon on Discord and in other GitHub issues: Current state:

We will be adding more options to allow devs to decide about when to apply markdown .. And maybe add react-markdown style wrapper around the NLUX markdown parser.

I'll be closing this issue if no further feedback or comments.
