Mertik maxitrol 433 for Homey #1

Hi, love this app for homey, has been working perfect (fun to just say: hey Google put on the fireplace 😆 cool factor!!) but now when I updated homey to 1.5.7 it's not working anymore🙁

Is there anyway to get this working again..?

Thanks, but I cannot test it myself at the moment. I am not using 1.5.6/1.5.7 as it has known issues with 433 Mhz. So likely this is related. See https://github.com/athombv/homey/issues/2075.

Thanks for the great app! Unfortunately i don't work anymore now the wintertime is coming... The 433 issue was solved ?? my klikaanklikuit is working.

Is your app working at this moment? maybe its something to get as a standard homey app??

Hi, just installed the app and it recognizes my remote however everytime I try to send something via Homey my Homey-app states it was unable to send the signal. Can I do something to help and figure out what goes wrong?

Hi Ramon,

Are you planning to update this app? I managed to add my remote, but unfortunately nothing is happening when trying to control the fireplace? I am using Homey 2.5.2.

Hi Tim,

To be honest I have not used it myself for ages. When I tried today, I noticed it also does not work for me anymore. So apparently Athom has broken something (the app did not change).

Maybe when it gets colder I'll try to fix it ;-).

Currently it is quite busy at the office. As soon as I have a little more time to dive into javascript and the Homey api I would love to try to help out.

Hi, any plans to fix this app? I would love to help out; already did an attempt but as I do not understand the protocol of the remote I cannot get further (I can see the commands from the remote but no clue how to get the right commands etc). If someone can share the protocol specs that might help.

Well, as far as I can see the app is Ok. We even made an sdk2 version to see if that would help. But the problem is that Homey does not respect the ‘interval’ setting anymore. Hence when repeating the signal it becomes one big message that the receiver does not understand.

Hi Ramon, any word from homey regarding this issue? maybe if we have enough people we can motivate them to get this back on the dev menu. On trying alternatives, I did get it working quite easy on a RFXcom interface, maybe we can get it as a work-arround via api connected to a nas/raspberry with the RFXcom. Although that doesn't win a beauty contest.

If we can do anything to help/ support, let me know.

@malu4 I don’t think anybody raised this with Athom. At least, I don’t know a ticket ID. So I don’t think they are aware of the issue and hence also not working on it.
