Problem is that there are multiple sensors (e.g. Telldus & Alecto) that use the same signals, but with different definitions. There is no way to tell them apart from the signal itself. Your sensor doesn't have a battery indication, the Alecto one does.
Can you set the offset in the device setting to get the correct temperature?
So What you are telling me is that this sensor isn't going to work because the app cannot tell wether it is a TELLDUS or an ALECTO. Ever?
Yes, I can adjust the offset to get a near exact match. But as soon as the actual temperature changes the displayed temperature goes totally off. Cannot find out what's really happening.
About the battery indicator blinking red: Strange that the app reads a "Batttery low" - message where here isn't any.
This is only one problem among others with HOMEY.. I think I made a bad purchase.. :(

BTW: which version of the app are you using? The one from the app store or the latest code on GitHub? Try the latest code on GitHub, That has a different algorithm to decide what type of sensor it is. That might work better for you.
I'm sorry to say that I use the version from Github. some one week old. I can add other sensors (temp/humidity) from TELLDUS absolutely flawless. It's this temeperature sensor that's killing me and, as I wrote, ultimately is going to force me to leave HOMEY. Too much problems, and I haven't even tried to add my switch from NEXA into the system yet... :-/.

If you want to leave Homey that is fine with me. I don't work for Athom, so I don't care. This kind of attitude does not motivate me to help you.
As workaround you can change line 127 of node_modules/alecto/index.js
to FineOffset = true
.
Thank you for the tip. Sorry for my "attitude". It's just that I'm so tired..

At home now. See previous mail from you..
Where do I find this line node_modules/alecto/index.js to FineOffset = true.

I have a temperature sensor from Telldus: When I add the sensor to HOMEY it finds a sensor called WS-1050. It uses a protocol Alecto V1. See settings here: .
The thermistor is in -24 degrees C, but it reports an temperature way off as depicted below. The battery icon is blinking. And yes, the batteries are brand new.
Bug?
