Forgive my tardiness in responding.

I would prefer not to merge a partially debianized git repository into this one and prefer a solution where they were separate. Much like with the other NetworkManager VPN plugins on http://git.gnome.org and for example https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-utopia/network-manager-pptp.git .

For some time, I've been thinking of a debian repository located at:

and based on recommendations in https://wiki.debian.org/PackagingWithGit

A few months ago, to see how gbp import-dsc worked, I imported the previous Ubuntu network-manager-l2tp source packages to:

note the pristine-tar and upstream branches it has.

Although I never got around to doing newer Debian and Ubuntu packages, I was thinking of submitting the packages to Debian, but due to issues with the system strongswan and xl2tpd packages, I decided to wait.

I'm not a Debian or Ubuntu user myself, if someone wants to maintain the Debian packages, i'll be more than happy.
