Request: Unread mail count in tray, Thunderbird #18

Is it possible to have the unread mail count displayed on the icon in the system tray when using the extension with Thunderbird?

Or at least it changes the icon when there is new mail without reading.

What about showing the unread email count in the tray icon? Like Skype does.
