TB: New mail icon stays in tray after reading mail #81

Hello,

I absolutely love this add-on, but when using it with Thunderbird there is an issue that has been bugging me for years (it exists from way before this addon became mintrayR):

Sometimes the icon that notifies you about new mail will stay in the tray even after I have read all new messages. When this happens and I minimize Thunderbird, there will be a new Thunderbird icon in the tray that behaves completely normal, along with a "frozen" new mail icon that won't respond to any clicks but shows a tooltip saying how many new messages there were when it (the frozen icon) first came into existence (the number will not update). This icon will be stuck in the tray area until I completely close Thunderbird and then hover over the frozen icon once (then it disappears). So everytime I get this issue, I need to restart Thunderbird or be annoyed by the frozen icon.

I am not 100% sure about when exactly this happens, but I think it occurs when there is more than 1 new mail, I open one of the new messages (but there are still other new mails that I haven't opened) and then I do not close any of the windows (including the message I have just opened) for a certain amount of time (probably until there is another automatic check for new mail).

I am using TB+mintrayr on WinXP 32bit SP3. The bug has existed throughout a long range of versions of TB and MinimizeToTray, but currently I'm on TB 11.01 using mintrayr 1.0.1.

Settings are "Instead of closing and when minimizing", unchecked "Double click to restore", checked "Show context menu on right click". On the second tab I only enabled "Use for Messenger windows".

The new mail icon is not part of MinTrayR but of Thunderbird itself. MinTrayR does not "touch" that icon in any way. Hence, please file a bug with the TB folks instead.
