setAlternateRecordStyles on ListGrid does not work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. run Showcase #grid_appearance_alternate
2. toggle Alternate Record Style check box

What is the expected output? 
The list grid toggles its apparence

What do you see instead?
The list grid don't toggles its apparence

What version of the product are you using? 
SmartGWT/3.1p/LGPL/2014-04-10

On what operating system?
Win7

What browser(s) does this happen in?  
FF, IE, Safari, Maxthon

Are there any browsers where the
issue does not occur?

We're not reproducing this in any browser (tested on both 3.1p and 4.1p 
branches).
Toggling the checkbox shows and hides the alternate record styles without 
problems.

Thanks for the quick response, in fact, the style defined in the css for 
.cellDark define background-color: #fafafa, which is quite difficult to 
distinguish but different, thanks again and sorry for the issue.
