Hi @dmurfin,
I've made a google doc where I am planning to compile notes from the various hake papers. How does this sound or would you rather we keep notes in GitHub?

Thanks Alice. This will work out just fine.

@dmurfin @ddemer
Added some more papers and notes to the google document! There's a lot of information out there, could you glance over what I've written so far and the papers collected to see if this is on the right track? I still have some papers at the bottom to read and authors to seek out.

Thank you for closing that out Alice. Excellent work. I made a few small modifications, but it summarizes your notes well. I don't think you need to spend more time on the summary. The document we are working on to describe our study will be most comprehensive.

Thanks everyone!
The principal objective is to create an EV template that accurately (95+%) integrates echo energy from hake while eliminating (95+%) of non-hake echoes. We need to know the frequency response of hake. If this overlaps with that of other scatterers, then we need to have other criteria to filter those. Some examples are knowing the depth, latitudinal, temperature, salinity, and sV ranges of hake.
