Mobilize Shimada

To-do list of mobilization items for Shimada:

• [x] Run ethernet cable (Cat6e) from Acoustic Lab to 18-kHz WBT in hallway
• [x] Run ethernet cable from EAL computer to the K-Sync
• [x] Install AST PCs (Echoview, 18-kHz EK80, EAL, misc [x-ray?, UCTDs are processed on the Echoview PC-KLS])
• [x] Add AST PC's to ForeScout (see if Static IP addresses can be used)
• [x] Install Synology storage device
• [x] Configure network mappings and update SyncBack profiles
• [x] Configure 18-kHz EK80 PC
  • Provide GPS and POS-MV inputs, Gyro if available
  • Configure K-Sync trigger input
• [x] Configure K-Sync.
  • Need to see if any modules are available to run another trigger to the 18-kHz PC
  • If not, can either use the ME70 or ADCP trigger, or just only use EK80s and bypass the K-Sync
• [x] Configure SCS profiles
  • Add 18-kHz EK80 Depth sensor
  • Create Send Message to output 18-kHz Depth via TCP or UDP
• [x] Install UCTD winch
• [x] Install X-Ray machine
• [x] Obtain and analyze the post-survey calibration data

The post-survey calibration data from the hake survey has been reprocessed, however the 200-kHz results were quite bad and some oddities were observed in the 120-kHz processing (Echoview has been contacted). But a template .ecs file has been generated that should be adequate.

Also processed the pre-survey calibration results in Echoview, and in general it looked as though the post-survey calibration was better. So think it's fine to proceed with processing Leg 4 Shimada data using the post-survey results.

Simrad replied and indicated that the oddities were an issue with Echoview, and game a couple workaround recommendations. Made those changes by the 120-kHz results didn't change much, so will keep the template .ecs file as is.
