Create transect plan #64

1/29: Currently waiting to hear if there will be a reduction in sea-days. Once that is official, then can proceed with solidifying transect plan.

Per Kevin, the general guidelines for creating a transect plan is:

  1. Generate transects using estimATM::makeTransects.Rmd
  2. Import resulting CSV files into Coastal Explorer
  3. Edit lines for length, avoiding hazards, around islands, etc., then export to .gpx
  4. Check results using estimATM::checkTransects.Rmd
  5. Iterate Coastal Explorer/checkTransects until no errors
  6. Put transect specs into a spreadsheet with time estimates. We can then adjust transects on/off to get time estimates, and adjust based on available days (Alice typically does this part)

Met with Kevin and Alice to go over creating transect plan. Alice will plan to run the R code and generate the transects, then once that is complete we will meet to discuss any decisions that need to be made.
