e.g. the _PC_ statuses should be extracted into a flag for personal conveyance

'personal conveyance' flag (see OP); true if this event is during personal conveyance
'diagnostics active' flag ; true if there were active data diagnostic conditions during this event
'malfunctions active' flag ; true if there were malfunctions active during this event
'manual location' flag ; true if the location for this event was manually entered
'yard moves' flag; true if this event is during a yard move
