The paper needs an Abstract and the Introduction and Discussion need to be expanded.

Could you add a map identifying high priority areas for protection? Areas that aren't GAP 1 or 2 but should be because they would benefit the most species?

Would it make sense to talk about the high species (30% Protected) in Figure 8? It stands out. People might wonder about it. What about the three species in the lower right the ones with greater than 90% SEWW but below 5% protected.

Down the road, I could see combining this with the vulnerability assessment work at Virginia Tech so that we could identify the most vulnerable species and provide another way to prioritize actions for managers.
