Items/Credits are removed before saving as overwriting is not supported by CBM DOS.
All files, including log, should be switched to relative files to allow for random access.
Care must be taken, however, as there are subtle bugs in CBM DOS regarding those files. Known effective workarounds exist. See https://www.lyonlabs.org/commodore/onrequest/onrequest.html#articles
