I was using the purgeWrite option to only keep the last 2 or 3 time steps (deleting anything older) to save HDD space ... but each time the job is restart in the backfill some older time folders are still accumulating ... defeating the purpose of using purgeWrite ... suggest to hack together a bash script to fix this.
