So i use the AZW file from the older version when i convert the book?

Download a new copy of the book with that version of Kindle for PC and add it to calibre to remove the DRM. Then you will be able to convert it if you want. At this time, DeDRM doesn't work with books from Kindle for PC 2.4.1 and newer.
